Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer and logistics firm in the Elizabeth area, is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their finance team.
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in the finance team, focusing on financial reporting, accounting activities, and other critical finance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in orchestrating departmental daily activities and annual audits.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Department on tasks such as entering journal entries and initiating bank transfers.
- Spearhead special projects as directed by the C.F.O.
- Compile forecasted Cash Flow reports and other pertinent financial reports.
- Generate weekly departmental reports including AP, AR, and Billing.
- Draft payment schedules for the upcoming week's receivables.
- Scrutinize weekly payroll runs.
- Examine credit card expenditures.
- Ensure the accuracy of monthly accounting entries.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in office procedures, data compilation, and record maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, especially with Pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Solid background in finance.
- Unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Stellar communication capabilities for effective interactions.
- Proficiency in various computer applications, especially accounting and finance software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adhere to tight deadlines.
