Job Summary:
We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Trevose, PA to play a key role in our financial operations. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. This role will be primary responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and complete financial records, maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies, and supporting a wide range of general accounting tasks. This role is hybrid at our Trevose, PA location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support timely month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and accruals.
- Perform detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Reconcile and manage the monthly corporate credit card transactions, ensuring timely submission of receipts and approvals within the platform.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple states and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all filing requirements and deadlines.
- Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to align accounting practices with business operations, including onboarding requests and compliance protocols.
- Identify opportunities to develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience; background in manufacturing, retail, or distribution a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with SAP Business One a plus.
- Proficient Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
