What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer & Market Insights Intern position at Puig?
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Intern to join our Consumer Insights and Market Intelligence team, focusing on reporting and data visualization. In this role, you will support the team in analyzing consumer trends, market data, and performance reports, contributing valuable insights to help guide strategic decision-making. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry, learning about how data informs brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and product development.
What you’ll get to do:
- Gather and review information from a multitude of internal and external data sources (Circana, Looker, etc) to understand industry performance, key market drivers, newness, etc
- Explore and analyze Fragrance Prestige & Niche Markets across categories like fragrance and makeup.
- Explore Total & Luxe Skincare Market
- Assist in keeping dashboards and reports up to date so the team can easily see how the business is doing and spot new opportunities with the latest data releases.
- Assist in preparing clear, engaging presentations (PowerPoint/Excel) that summarize insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders and teams
- Work closely with teams like marketing, sales, and brand management to turn data into practical insights.
- Keep a pulse on consumer behavior and engagement trends, with a focus on emerging channels and platforms within the beauty industry
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Consumer Behavior, or related fields
- Ability to present insights clearly and effectively, both in written reports and verbal presentations
- Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and an interest to learn analytical tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, or Nielsen are a plus)
- Interest in understanding consumer/market behavior and trends, with a basic understanding of data interpretation
- Passion for beauty and up to date on industry related brand trends
- Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy in data reporting and analysis
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and in-person three days a week (up to 29 hours a week)
Compensation:
As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the hourly rate for this position is $20.00 an hour.
