About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established engineering and EPC firm, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Minneapolis. This hybrid position is ideal for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who enjoys leading complex engineering projects from initiation through completion while building strong client relationships and driving successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate is someone who anticipates challenges before they arise, takes ownership of project execution, and collaborates effectively with both clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developing a thorough understanding of project objectives, expectations, and priorities.
- Lead projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with client requirements, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, coordinate resources, establish timelines, and manage project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions to maintain project success.
- Manage project scope while controlling changes and ensuring proper documentation and approvals for any modifications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of engineering and project milestones.
- Oversee project invoicing, billing, and documentation to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Facilitate regular project meetings with internal stakeholders and clients, providing clear communication on project status, risks, and next steps.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, company standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, including at least four (4) years managing engineering or technical projects.
- Experience within facilities, utilities, or oil & gas industries is preferred.
- Strong project planning, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining schedules and budgets.
- PMP certification is preferred but not required.
