JOB SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for performing a range of advanced technical tasks related to the fabrication and assembly of aerospace structures. This mid-level role involves hands-on mechanical work, following detailed work instructions and technical drawings to ensure precision and quality.
This position will play a crucial role in the production process and contribute to the company’s overall performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform technical mechanical work using standard hand tools and inspection equipment.
- Operate equipment for sheet metal fabrication and structural assembly, including:
- Deburring, Routing, Polishing, Shear & Saw Operation
- Press Forming, Draw Forming, Brake Forming
- Stretch Forming, Roll Forming, Hot Forming
- Check & Straighten, Heat Treating - Cross-train in Assembly and Machining to support workforce flexibility.
- Follow detailed work instructions, process sheets, and blueprints.
- Handle delicate aerospace components with care and precision.
- Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections.
- Accurately complete documentation such as routers and inspection logs.
- Maintain clean and organized work area, following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with troubleshooting issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
- 2–8 years of related manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Experience operating fabrication tools and interpreting technical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform technical fabrication and mechanical work.
- Strong measurement and mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, tolerances, and specifications.
- Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and Material Management software.

- Legally able to work in the U.S.
- Adhere to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, FAA regulations and company specific safety standards.
- Internal Certifications: Forklift, Slings/Cranes, FPV, Heat Treat or others deemed appropriate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift). Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to manufacturing environments, including moderate noise levels, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required, Such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
On the production floor, PPE is required depending on department and product (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection).
