Role Overview: Responsible for completing all required training, participating in professional development, and successfully fulfilling clinical competencies in a Nurse Residency Program. Works under supervision to refine nursing skills, manage clinical situations, and ensure adherence to organizational policies including licensure, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
- Key Responsibilities: Collect and document patient data, prioritize needs, and interpret diagnostic results under supervision. Develop and revise care plans, incorporating patient and family input, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Deliver evidence-based treatments, explain procedures, and provide discharge education. Recognize emergencies, initiate advanced therapy, and advocate for patient rights.
- Documentation & Delegation: Record care activities and observations, delegate tasks appropriately, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Adjust staffing as needed and monitor safety conditions.
- Qualifications: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program; Bachelor's preferred. No prior experience required; candidates with over 12 months are ineligible. Must hold or be eligible for RN licensure in the relevant state and BLS certification.
