Location: Registration Center
High School School Counselor at the Registration Center (up to 1 position)
Program Dates: July 1 - August 7, 2026
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:05AM– 3:25PM
Pay: Daily Rate of Pay
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Scheduling, Guidance, College/Career Readiness & Student Supports and in collaboration with the Director of Student Registration, the guidance counselor will obtain and review all pertinent student records and administer’ placement and/or screening tests. This information in conjunction with educational history information will be used to provide recommendations for student placement.
Daily rate of pay (Contingent upon funding)
EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
RIDE Requirements:
- PK-12 School Counselor
ESL Preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:
- PK-12 School Counselor Certificate
- Master’s degree in School Counseling preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Experience analyzing and interpreting national and international transcripts
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES:
Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities
- Obtain previous students’ transcripts - national and international
- Analyze and award credits for international transcripts with guidance from the Office of ELLs
- Perform STAR Screening
Collaborate with previous school’s guidance department for clarification and appropriate
