Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Analyze service quality data and operational KPIs (on-time %, damage rate, claims, dwell time).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to reduce cost and improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with carriers, warehouse partners, and customs brokers to resolve quality issues and improve reliability.

Training & SOPs

  • Develop and maintain training content for frontline teams on quality procedures, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Create and enforce SOPs for transportation quality checks, cross-dock handling, and customs documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with transportation, warehousing, IT, procurement, and customer service teams on quality initiatives.
  • Act as a quality liaison for key cross-border clients and carriers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in quality assurance within logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments.

Preferred

  • Experience working with WMS/TMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MercuryGate).
  • Familiarity with C-TPAT, Carta Porte, or IMMEX regulations.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar – a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across functions
  • Hands-on approach to shop floor and field quality
