Job Summary
This position will help document and record essential quality activities and help communicate any relevant information as needed. This individual will be part of the Mission QA team that strives to meet or exceed all regulations and lead the industry in Quality. In addition, this position involves a combination of visual monitoring of various aspects of the FDC operations and physical testing of the product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This position will help document and record essential quality activities and help communicate any relevant information as needed. This individual will be part of the Mission QA team that strives to meet or exceed all regulations and lead the industry in Quality. In addition, this position involves a combination of visual monitoring of various aspects of the FDC operations and physical testing of the product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine visual inspections of the product.
- Sample and inspect raw and finished products to ensure conformance to standards.
- Initiate and complete aging, shipping, receiving, and grading reports.
- Must be a motivated, self-starter with good people and communication skills.
- Create and complete experiments to test packaging, product, and other elements of quality.
- Communicate quality concerns via email to the corresponding team members.
- Test product for oil content, temperature, and internal/external defects.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
- Communicate issues to leads and supervisors.
- Lift 48-pound containers from stacked pallets.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-stress environment.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers in a team environment.
- Able to read markings on boxes of products.
- Able to work according to food facility regulations.
- Experience using Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365/inventory systems preferred.
- Ability to be flexible with hours.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fast-paced cold and wet environment.
- Food facility requires food-safe behavior.
- Utilize ladders, computer tablets, and other tools to monitor quality.
- Work in cold conditions from 38°F to 50°F.
