Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD)
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of technicians and team leads
- Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and regulatory standards
- Oversee instrument processing, storage, and distribution
- Partner with Operating Room and clinical teams to ensure seamless workflow
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain performance metrics
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, hiring, and training
- Promote a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement
Required
- Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Certification: CRCST or CSPDT (HSPA/IAHCSMM)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Surgical instrumentation
- Aseptic technique
- Infection prevention practices
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Surgical Technology background
- Experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting
- Salary: $52,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
