We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join a growing California defense practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who values autonomy, professional growth, flexibility, and a collaborative work environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage your own workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Appear at MSCs, lien conferences, hearings, and trials.
- Provide strategic legal advice and litigation guidance to employers, insurance carriers, and TPAs.
- Negotiate favorable settlements and litigate cases when necessary.
- Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and practical legal solutions.
- 3 years of California workers' compensation defense experience.
- Active California Bar license and good standing.
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law and WCAB procedures.
- Excellent deposition, negotiation, and litigation skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Strong written advocacy and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, attention-to-detail, and case-management abilities.
