Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to support the health and well-being of students primarily in Kindergarten through Grade 2. The nurse will play a vital role in providing health services, managing student health records, responding to medical needs, and promoting a safe and healthy learning environment.
While the primary focus is supporting approximately 220 students in grades K-2, the nurse may also assist students in grades 3-5 who are housed in the same building, as well as a specialized preschool program with fewer than 10 students.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a health advocate for students.
- Assess and evaluate student health and developmental status.
- Provide emergency health services and first aid as needed.
- Coordinate appropriate management and referrals for students with health concerns.
- Maintain student health records, including immunization documentation.
- Administer medications and perform routine health-related duties.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist students and families with health maintenance and wellness education.
- Participate in the development and implementation of school health programs.
- Support a safe and healthy school environment through illness and injury prevention.
- Collaborate closely with school administration, staff, and district nursing personnel.
- Primary population: Kindergarten through Grade 2
- May support students in Grades 3-5 as needed
- Specialized preschool program with fewer than 10 students
- Approximately 40 health office visits per day, including medication administration, health checks, and documentation-related visits
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Must meet all New Hampshire Department of Education requirements for School Nurse certification/licensure.
- Multistate nursing licenses from Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member states are accepted at the time of application.
- New graduates may be considered if they meet applicable New Hampshire Department of Education requirements.
