Registered Nurse (Medical Oncology)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Day Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join a growing oncology team in a modern outpatient setting. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, administering chemotherapy, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician supervision.
• Mix and prepare chemotherapy drugs following established safety protocols.
• Monitor patients during infusion and manage any adverse reactions.
• Record patient information including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates.
• Ensure smooth and efficient patient flow within the infusion clinic.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  
  

Patient Population

Adult patients undergoing oncology and hematology treatments, including chemotherapy and infusion therapies in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Active or eligible California RN license in good standing.
• 1 years of recent oncology nursing experience required.
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required.
• Experience in chemotherapy administration, oncology, or radiation therapy is a plus.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.
