Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload independently from intake through resolution
- Handle trial work, hearings, depositions, and motion practice
- Develop and execute case strategy across assigned matters
- Conduct client intake, maintain client relationships, and provide ongoing counsel
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents
- Collaborate with internal team while maintaining autonomy in case handling
- Contribute to firm growth through client service and potential business development
- Strong courtroom presence and trial experience
- Advanced legal writing and motion drafting skills
- Excellent client communication and relationship management
- Strategic thinking and case management ability
- Negotiation and settlement expertise
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) communication skills preferred
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the Alaska Bar OR ability to obtain admission quickly
- 5 years of experience in at least one:
- Civil Litigation
- Plaintiff's Litigation
- Criminal Defense
- Family Law
- Demonstrated experience with trials, hearings, depositions, and motion practice
- Proven ability to manage cases independently
