Litigation Attorney (Probate/Civil)

SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team. The firm handles a diverse caseload and is open to candidates with probate litigation experience as well as those with broad civil litigation backgrounds. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking for hands-on experience, mentorship, and long-term growth. The firm is looking to potentially hire two attorneys - one with a focus on probate litigation and another with general civil litigation experience. The role involves managing cases across multiple practice areas including probate, personal injury, family law, employment, and business litigation.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Handle a caseload involving probate litigation and/or general civil litigation matters

- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence

- Conduct legal research and case analysis

- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and depositions

- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation

- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

- Meet or exceed billable hour requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Active license to practice law in California (required)

- Experience in probate litigation and/or civil litigation

- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court processes

- Trial or hearing experience is a plus

- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
