Responsibilties
- Advise and counsel employers on federal, state, and local employment laws and workplace compliance matters
- Represent employers in employment-related litigation in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and assist with trial preparation
- Respond to EEOC charges and other administrative agency proceedings
- Conduct workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and employee complaints
- Draft and review employee handbooks, policies, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and separation agreements
- Assist with wage and hour compliance matters and related litigation
- Provide day-to-day employment counseling to employer clients
- J.D. required
- 3-5 years of experience in Labor & Employment law
- Experience representing employers (defense-side strongly preferred)
- Experience with employment litigation and counseling
- Exposure to EEOC charges and administrative proceedings preferred
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
