Job Roles And Responsibilities
- Review commercial construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Prepare accurate project proposals and cost estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project requirements.
- Evaluate project scope and identify exclusions and pricing considerations.
- Communicate project scope, pricing, and proposal details with customers.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams during the estimating process.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and project documentation.
- Track and manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
- Support project planning and preconstruction activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing requirements.
- Electrical estimating experience preferred.
- Experience with quantity takeoffs preferred.
- Experience with Bluebeam preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
