Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Clinical Therapist (LCPC or LCSW-C) to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role focuses on individualized treatment planning, group facilitation, and collaborative care to support long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health, substance use, and readiness for treatment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing co-occurring disorders
- Facilitate daily group therapy sessions
- Complete all clinical documentation and case notes on the same day of service
- Educate clients and families on treatment options, including medically assisted treatment (MAT)
- Collaborate with medical and psychiatric teams to coordinate care
- Support clients in developing coping strategies and behavior modification skills
- Identify barriers to recovery and implement intervention strategies
- Provide case management services and community resource referrals as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards
- Active and valid Virginia independent license (LCPC or LCSW-C)
- Minimum 2 years of post-licensure experience treating substance use (SUD), mental health (MH), and co-occurring disorders
- Experience working with dual-diagnosis clients
- Knowledge of medically assisted treatment (MAT) options
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to gender-specific and diverse populations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Residential treatment experience
- Experience providing family education and support
