Job Title: Contract Financial Analyst
Engagement Type: 3–6 Month Contract (with potential to convert to full-time)
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Financial Analyst to join our client's busy team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, keeping things organized, and delivering accurate, reliable reporting. You’ll help support forecasting, reporting, and day-to-day financial analysis while working within established processes.
There’s also an opportunity for this role to turn into a full-time position if it’s a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
Forecasting & Budget Support
- Update and maintain financial forecasts using actuals and business inputs
- Help support budgeting cycles by consolidating data and checking for accuracy
- Track changes in assumptions and keep documentation up to date
Monthly Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly reports comparing actuals vs. forecast and budget
- Identify key variances and explain what’s driving them
- Deliver recurring reports accurately and on time
Data & Reporting
- Pull and organize data from financial systems
- Build and maintain reports using Excel and tools like Power BI or Power Query
- Help improve reporting processes and data quality over time
KPI Tracking
- Maintain and update key performance metrics
- Support dashboard creation and recurring performance reporting
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in reported data
Ad Hoc Projects
- Jump in on additional analysis requests from the finance team
- Help document processes and identify areas for improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling)
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar tools is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP is helpful
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage recurring deadlines
- Comfortable following structured processes
Nice to Have
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with clear direction
- Good communication skills—able to clearly explain findings

- Pay: $50–$60/hour (based on experience)
