Parkview Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our OB Flex Team at Parkview Women’s & Children’s Hospital. This position is designed for an RN with at least two years of nursing experience who is comfortable adapting to changing patient care and staffing needs across OB services.
As an OB Flex RN, you’ll have the opportunity to support multiple areas within Women’s & Children’s services based on patient care and staffing needs while working alongside collaborative, specialized nursing teams.
This role is a great fit for an RN who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable providing care across different areas of obstetric and women’s health nursing.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across assigned OB areas based on staffing and patient care needs
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as ordered
- Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to appropriate care team members
- Adapt to different patient populations, workflows, and clinical environments within Women’s & Children’s services
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold regulatory and professional nursing standards
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN eligible for premium pay)
- Valid Indiana RN license or eligibility for Indiana licensure
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- 2 years of OB experience required
- Additional certifications may be required based on the areas supported
