Parkview Regional Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Children’s Flex Team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with 24- and 36-hour workweeks.
Children’s Flex RNs provide high-quality, patient-centered care while floating between the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatrics, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) based on patient care and staffing needs.
This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys variety, is comfortable adapting to different clinical environments, and has experience in pediatric, neonatal, or pediatric critical care nursing.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care across PICU, Pediatrics, and NICU
- Adapt to changing patient care and staffing needs across assigned units
- Perform age-appropriate assessments and recognize and communicate changes in patient condition
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing plans of care
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as ordered
- Monitor patient status and response to treatments and interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and families
- Promote safe, compassionate, and family-centered care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional nursing standards
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); BSN preferred
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of PICU, Pediatrics, or NICU nursing experience
- Additional certifications may be required based on assigned area
Work Schedule
- Day and Night shifts available
- Full-time: 36 hours per week
- Part-time: 24 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Flex assignments between PICU, Pediatrics, and NICU
- Additional scheduling details vary by position
