Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an Administrative Services – Administration Generalist 2 to represent an organizational unit on administrative matters and support a variety of operational functions.
The position will provide administrative coordination across areas such as facilities, capacity planning, project coordination, communications, safety/security, equipment moves, and engineering department support.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the organizational unit on administrative matters.
- Recommend, interpret, and implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures.
- Perform a variety of administrative functions, including:
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Purchasing
- Research and Development
- Prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required.
- Support facility and capacity planning and serve as a building/site coordinator.
- Coordinate with Facilities to successfully transition departments into and out of building sites.
- Serve as the primary contact and point of contact for facility-related issues and concerns.
- Partner with Safety, Security, Parking Solutions, and Facilities teams to resolve site concerns and communicate important information.
- Plan and manage equipment moves into and out of buildings.
- Support video teleconferencing meetings for engineering departments.
- Coordinate multiple administrative and facility-related activities while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field 3 years of experience, OR
- Master’s Degree 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with facility and capacity planning.
- Experience as a building/site coordinator.
- Experience working with Facilities teams to transition departments between building sites.
- Experience serving as a primary facility point of contact (POC).
- Experience partnering with Safety, Security, Parking Solutions, and Facilities teams.
- Experience planning and managing equipment moves.
- Experience supporting video teleconferencing meetings, particularly for engineering organizations.
