Role Summary
The Procurement Analyst manages the procurement process for engineered equipment, materials, and services-from sourcing to delivery. Responsibilities include issuing inquiries, evaluating bids, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with terms, conditions, and documentation requirements. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and suppliers, maintaining records, and supporting timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requisitions and bids for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare bid tabulations and recommendations for approval
- Coordinate technical evaluations with engineering teams
- Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong relationships
- Issue inquiries, evaluate bids, and prepare purchase orders
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
- Expedite materials and documentation to meet project timelines
- Maintain procurement status reports and records
- Review invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable
- Support logistics, inspection, and compliance activities
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of procurement experience, ideally with engineered equipment
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and terms
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
