What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer position at Progressive?
Qualifications:
- 3 years of design experience
- 1 year of substation or utility experience preferred
- Strong AutoCAD knowledge and abilities.
- General understanding of electrical, mechanical, and civil design concepts.
- Competency in applying technical concepts, standards, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to think analytically and solve technical problems.
- Knowledge of company design and operating standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance but knows when to get others involved.
- Experience with interpreting technical drawings (i.e. onelines, outline diagrams) is a plus.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Skills: Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry required to perform complex calculations. Effective oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills (including technical writing).
Education Requirements:
Associates Degree
Disciplines: Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Drawing
