Qualifications:
- High School Graduate with additional training and or experience in long term care or recent college graduate looking to work in the long-term care industry.
Responsibilities:
- Works with Central Intake to grow/maintain census in the facility
- Gather sufficient pre-admission data to determine resident level of care and the ability of the facility to properly care for the resident.
- Interview potential residents and resident's representatives to collect accurate data.
- Work closely with the business office to ensure insurance information is accurate.
- Assign room numbers to residents in consultation with the nursing department and administration.
- Greet and escort residents to their assigned units.
- Follow admission, transfer, and discharge policies and procedures.
- Keep resident's information accurate and confidential.
- Notify appropriate departments of admission.
- Explain facility philosophy, policies, and procedures to potential and new residents and their representatives.
- Complete admission paperwork with resident and/or resident's representatives.
- Work closely with the Director of Business Development and assist with marketing the facility to maintain an adequate census level.
