The Vice President of Operations oversees the organization's ongoing operations, procedures and processes, and is responsible for the efficiency of all business and development. The VP Ops is a part of the organization’s Executive Management Team and reports to the President.We are looking for an experienced VP of Operations to oversee the company’s ongoing operations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a willingness to get into the weeds, and a record of excellence. This individual must have the ability to think strategically, build strong working relationships, communicate clearly, and possess strong leadership. Able to motivate and thrive in a team environment.Responsibilities:P&L responsibility.Strong understanding of operational finance.Develop operating procedures, KPIs, ensure everyone knows their individual role and setup individual metrics.Looks for methods to improve quality, efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, or improve control measures.Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the company and ensure excellent client service.Manage the day-to-day business; make tough, but consistent decisions for the overall growth and progression of the business.Serves as a key resource for leadership decisions on business strategy.Help drive the performance, strategic planning and growth orientation of the business.Maintain accountability, growth, and entrepreneurialism.Lead and develop a team across multiple locations and over various functions.Create systems that all team members follow; effectively anticipate issues and come with solutions that will protect the company.Willingness to take on new tasks; general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved.Recruit, lead, manage, assess and help build a high-performance team and growth culture based on providing value to our customers, direct communication, compliance and accountability.Travel to other offices/divisions.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS5 years of direct VP level experience.Ideal candidate will work for a subcontractor.Construction industry experience required, preferably in a high-volume environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees.Attention to detail, self-starter, self-motivator.Identify and implement change opportunities and initiatives.Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability.Team player, lead by example.Proven ability to coach all employees to enhance performance constantly with consistency.
