Professional Search Group OC (PSG-OC) is seeking an entry-level IT Support Technician/ Helpdesk Technician to provide technical assistance to end-users and support the organization’s IT operations. The ideal Helpdesk Technician will have a year of experience in IT support, a solid foundation in networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software. The Helpdesk Technician requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, and a “can-do”, customer service focused attitude.
The is for a not-for-profit national trade association supporting motorcyclists in the U.S. by representing manufacturers, distributors, dealers and retailers of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, ROVs, motorcycle/ATV/ROV parts, accessories and related goods and services, and members of allied trades such as insurance, finance and others with a commercial interest in the industry. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong foundation in networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and switching, to assist with basic network troubleshooting
- Assist with setting up and maintain networked printers and VoIP phones
- Provide exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional and polite demeanor to ensure effective collaboration across departments
- Proactively find and resolve issues that arise
- Ability to explain and resolve IT issues using patience and professionalism while assisting non-tech-savvy users
Required Education/Experience/Credentials:
- 1 year of experience providing IT support in a professional setting
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, and routing
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues on both Windows and macOS platforms
- Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management
- Proficiency in supporting IT hardware such as printers, VoIP phones, and peripherals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft, Office 365, and Google Workspace Administrative
- CompTIA A or Network certification
- Familiarity with Cisco or Fortinet networking equipment
- Experience using RMM and Ticketing tools such as Syncro or ConnectWise
- Basic knowledge of backup technologies such as ArcServe, Datto, Veeam, etc.
