This role supports high-integrity aerospace and defense programs requiring exceptional quality, repeatability, and compliance with stringent industry standards.If you have hands-on orbital TIG welding experience and a background in aerospace welding per AWS D17.1, this is an opportunity to work on critical, high-performance systems. Position SummaryThe Orbital Welder will set up, program, and operate automated orbital welding systems to produce precision welds on thin-wall tubing and aerospace assemblies. This role requires strong blueprint interpretation skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing welds that meet strict aerospace specifications. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate automated orbital TIG welding equipmentPerform precision welds on tubing, fittings, and aerospace assembliesRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbolsFollow welding procedures in accordance with AWS D17.1Verify weld parameters and document results per quality requirementsPerform visual inspections and support NDT processes as neededMaintain clean work environment and welding equipmentCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams Required Qualifications3 years of orbital welding experienceAerospace welding experience strongly preferredExperience working to AWS D17.1 specificationsProficiency with orbital TIG welding systems and controllersStrong blueprint reading and precision measurement skillsHigh attention to detail and quality-driven mindset Preferred QualificationsExperience in AS9100 or aerospace-regulated environmentsExperience welding specialty alloys (stainless, Inconel, titanium)Additional AWS certifications
