Position Overview

The AI Builder / Forward Deployed Engineer partners closely with teams across investment, finance, compliance, and operations to identify impactful opportunities and develop practical AI-driven solutions. This role blends hands-on development, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration to design, deploy, and scale systems that improve business workflows.

Success in this role requires strong technical fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex business challenges into effective, real-world AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases and redesign workflows
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions based on stakeholder feedback and operational needs
• Build and maintain integrations using low-code and high-code tools within evolving data and AI platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to validate and deploy solutions
• Evaluate appropriate use of AI within processes, ensuring proper human oversight
• Assess and recommend third-party tools aligned with technical and strategic objectives
• Ensure adherence to security, access control, and responsible AI practices
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and continuously experiment to enhance capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience building and deploying applications using generative AI tools and large language models
• Strong technical skills in Python or TypeScript, APIs, Git, and basic cloud platforms
• Experience translating business requirements into working technical solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
• Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in improving workflows through AI
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, iterative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in consulting or customer-facing software engineering
• Exposure to financial services, investment management, or similar environments
