IPC Harness / ESD Technician – Job Description
Description
We are seeking skilled IPC Harness / ESD Technicians to support assembly and production of high-reliability aerospace and electronics hardware. This role will focus on wire harness assembly, circuit board work, and precision manufacturing in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
You will be part of a collaborative and experienced team supporting critical hardware used in advanced applications. Candidates with hands-on experience and a desire to grow in IPC standards are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Summary
This is a full-time position supporting both Harness Assembly and ESD / Circuit Board production areas. Responsibilities may include building wire harnesses, working on PCB assemblies, and performing detailed production tasks to IPC standards.
The hiring manager is an IPC Certified Instructor (CIT) and can provide training and certification for the right candidates.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Shift options:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime may be available
Compensation
- Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
- Compensation determined by experience, skills, and internal equity
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies to specification
- Perform crimping, wiring, and connector installation
- Support PCB assembly, soldering, and inspection (ESD-safe handling)
- Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and build documentation
- Maintain quality standards for aerospace/space-grade hardware
- Assist with troubleshooting and rework as needed
- Work within a structured production and team environment
- Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 2 years of experience in:
- Wire harness assembly, cable assembly, or electronics production
- Experience with:
- Crimping, wiring, and/or soldering
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work in a production environment with precision standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- IPC certifications:
- IPC-A-620 (preferred)
- IPC-A-610 (preferred)
- Previous IPC certification (even if expired) is highly valued
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing
- Experience with PCB assembly, inspection, or rework
- Familiarity with ESD-safe environments
- Willingness to complete IPC certification training (provided)
