Business Development Manager, Water Analytics

We currently have an opening for a Business Development Manager, for our Water Analytics business for the Americas in the IMS (Industrial Measurement Solutions) division, consisting of TOC, COD, and BOD analyzers. This individual is responsible for owning the target for their product across all sales regions and markets, and driving business growth through PI’s Regional Sales Managers and Sales Partners. This position is based remotely (out of Houston), reporting to the Director of Sales Americas with a focus on developing consultative applications and specifications, creating sales collateral and training programs, and building commercial relationships with analytical influencers at end-user accounts.
This is a Sales position that will collaborate with Director of Global Product Marketing and the global sales team.
This role plays a critical part in driving our vision to partner with our customers to become their preferred process analytical solutions provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the success of LAR products across all IMS markets, in the Americas.
- Meet or exceed sales objectives for LAR products.
- Maintain sales metrics, such as sales funnel, lead development, forecast, won/lost, etc.
- Train and develop inside and outsides sales teams, as well as sales partners.
- Work with sales partners to develop, drive and motivate them for success.
- Develop training materials, sales collateral, application notes and success stories to drive LAR sales.
- Partner with the marketing team to ensure LAR products and applications receive industry exposure.
- In person influence and interaction with customers, with a focus on successful wins.
- Partner with RSMs and Sales Partners to drive customer visits, taking ownership for the interactions.
- Actively engage in targeted industry events, presenting papers, developing and fostering key relationships, reviewing competitor advances and following up on leads.
- Identify product and application needs, quantify opportunities, present justification for development, collaborate with product & application development teams, identify sales opportunities, co-manage to assure successful references.
- Collaborate with the global sales and marketing team to develop market and account successes.
- Apply PI values to tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
- Minimum of BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or other related technical field.
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Technical Sales, with knowledge of water analytical instrumentation.
- Proven experience and track record with water analyzers for industrial and municipal markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new markets, accounts, and applications to achieve sales objectives.
- Result-oriented attitude with a strategic mindset to develop new areas of business.
- Experience with Salesforce.com.
- Travel expected at an average of 50% with ability to travel internationally as required.
- Home office is expected.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and have initiative to follow through on commitments with team and management.
