This full-time role offers a dynamic opportunity to provide essential psychological services within a school district in Albemarle, NC. The position involves working onsite across multiple school campuses from August through May and focuses on supporting students’ mental health, educational assessment, and crisis response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support a PreK-12 caseload.
- Provide consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention services.
- Lead conferences with parents regarding student needs and progress.
- Deliver training sessions designed to enhance staff skills related to student mental health and learning.
- Participate actively on district-level teams to contribute to system-wide improvements.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) School Psychologist license is required, with proof of current licensure.
- Familiarity and experience with the ECATS (Educational Community and Technology System) is mandatory.
- Prior experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and providing mental health consultation in educational settings.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with a broad school community.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to student success and wellbeing.
Location:
- Various school sites within the district in Albemarle, NC. Note that mileage reimbursement is not provided.
