A temporary Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for a K-12 school setting in Turlock, CA. This contract role is scheduled to last approximately 4 to 5 months, starting as soon as possible through March. The position requires a commitment of 37 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure to work as an SLPA
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques and protocols
- Ability to collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Work directly with students to support speech and language development goals
- Document progress and assist in maintaining accurate records
- Participate in student assessments and therapy sessions under supervision
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and the therapy team to promote student success
