A school located in Middletown, DE is seeking three full-time Special Education Teachers to support middle school students in Wilmington, DE. These contract positions will start as soon as possible and continue through June 5th, providing vital educational support for grades 4 through 8 in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.
Open Positions:
- 4th & 5th Grade SPED Teacher push-in and pull-out support in ELA and Math
- 7th & 8th Grade SPED Teacher push-in and pull-out support in Math
- 7th & 8th Grade SPED Teacher push-in and pull-out support in ELA
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Roles based in Wilmington, DE, serving middle school students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support aligned with students IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers to provide push-in classroom support
- Conduct pull-out sessions focused on targeted skill development in ELA and Math
- Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and communicate with families and staff
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to diverse learner needs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
