A well-established K-12 school in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support their speech and language programs. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in a collaborative educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
- Implement treatment plans as directed and maintain detailed session documentation.
- Conduct screenings and support assessment activities under supervision.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor student progress and promote effective communication strategies.
- Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by the state of California.
