A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school located in Pawtucket, RI. This contract role requires fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) to support students and staff effectively within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for K-12 students to identify learning and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide counseling and intervention services tailored to students' social, emotional, and academic challenges.
- Utilize ASL fluency to communicate and build rapport with deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute expertise in student support planning.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports to support educational planning and compliance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language is required.
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings.
