Key Qualifications:
- Current California Physical Therapist license required
- Prior experience in California school settings is essential
- Flexible with traveling between sites; reliable transportation necessary
- Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) or willingness to do so
- Strong communication skills; bilingual Spanish speakers given preference
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to changing schedules
- Highly organized with strong documentation and reporting skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ physical therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals for students, collaborating with educational teams
- Provide direct therapy services in group and one-on-one settings, adapting to a variety of student needs
- Supervise and support PTAs in delivery of direct services
- Travel to multiple sites as assigned, meeting schedules efficiently and responsibly
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation according to district and state standards
