An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students within a dynamic educational environment near Pawtucket, RI. This engaging position begins as soon as possible and runs through August 6th to address ESY needs, followed by several months in the fall to provide essential make-up services. With a manageable caseload of 14 students, you’ll deliver crucial occupational therapy services that support development and academic success for children in a school setting.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans for students
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing caseload or service needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students according to their IEPs
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress; adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
- Provide make-up therapy services for students with missed sessions
- Maintain accurate and timely session notes and compliance documentation
