Key Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience working in school-based settings, specifically with students ages 3-22 who have multiple and complex disabilities.
- Proficiency in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret assessment data and use it for recommending services and addressing family concerns.
- Comfortable with an itinerant role—traveling between several school sites within a week (note: mileage reimbursement is not available).
- Excellent communication and consultation skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and families.
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy to a fluctuating caseload with no cap on student numbers.
- Use data from standardized assessments to inform eligibility, support planning, and address parent/caregiver questions.
- Develop customized interventions based on each student’s unique strengths and needs.
- Collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Create a flexible schedule tailored to meet the district’s evolving requirements and maximize student outcomes.
