Occupational Therapist School Setting in Riverside, CA

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license.
• Experience working in school-based settings, specifically with students ages 3-22 who have multiple and complex disabilities.
• Proficiency in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret assessment data and use it for recommending services and addressing family concerns.
• Comfortable with an itinerant role—traveling between several school sites within a week (note: mileage reimbursement is not available).
• Excellent communication and consultation skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and families.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide therapy to a fluctuating caseload with no cap on student numbers.
• Use data from standardized assessments to inform eligibility, support planning, and address parent/caregiver questions.
• Develop customized interventions based on each student’s unique strengths and needs.
• Collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families to ensure continuity of care.
• Create a flexible schedule tailored to meet the district’s evolving requirements and maximize student outcomes.
