Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young students as a school-based Occupational Therapist, working with a focused caseload of approximately 11 children in grades K4 through 4 at a primary school in the Belton, SC area. Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Passion for helping students achieve greater independence and participation in daily school activities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEPs, focusing on student participation and skill building
- Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support
- Provide education, resources, and strategies to teachers and classroom staff to foster a supportive environment
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
