High School Special Ed Teacher | Kenner, Louisiana

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Engage in a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher at the high school level, located in Kenner, LA. This position focuses on delivering inclusive education through the Inclusion Model, supporting diverse learners in a dynamic classroom setting throughout the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students with special needs within an inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate student integration and academic success.
• Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning requirements.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to achieve educational goals.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators to foster a supportive learning community.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably working with high school students.
• Knowledge of the Inclusion Model and strategies for implementing it successfully.
