Job Description:

The Cost Accountant will take ownership of product costing across thousands of SKUs, proactively auditing part costs, monitoring burden rates, identifying discrepancies, and improving ERP data integrity. Success in this role will directly reduce cost-related errors, increase reporting accuracy, and enhance decision-making for leadership.

Beyond maintaining the current system, the Cost Accountant will play a key role in refining costing methodologies, supporting automation initiatives (including landed cost processes), and strengthening month-end inventory reporting.

This is a highly independent, operationally embedded role requiring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to confidently collaborate across Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance to drive long-term cost accuracy and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Audit, maintain, and validate accurate part costs across thousands of SKUs.
• Investigate real-time cost fluctuations, discrepancies, and average cost variances.
• Utilize BAQs, reporting tools, and advanced Excel to analyze large data sets.
• Provide cost support for pricing decisions, new product quotes, and cost roll-ups.
• Develop cost-related reports, dashboards, and KPIs for leadership visibility.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base = $80k-$100k (depending on experience level)
• Annual Bonus Opportunity = up to 5% (eligible after one full year)
