Duties
- Must know American Sign Language
- Provide attentive care while ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Assist with daily routines such as preparing meals, light cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Support education in our home with appropriate communication both verbal and American Sign Language, learning, play, and developmental exercises.
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Support, encourage and take to activities in the community.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns using first aid skills when necessary.
Experience Familiar with behavior management techniques to support positive growth and social skills.
- Certification in first aid and CPR that is approved is required.
- Background check is required.
- Proof of auto insurance required.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred.
