What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full time House keeper & Companion position at Private Household?
Seeking a warm, dependable, experienced housekeeper for a private home in Bethesda.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a one-hour off-duty lunch break each day (40 working hours weekly). Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
Live-in preferred. Local live-out candidates are welcome if available for pre-arranged overnight stays when I travel. The regular schedule applies to either arrangement. Additional hours and overnight arrangements will be agreed upon separately.
Duties include housekeeping, laundry, changing linens, home organization, and friendly companionship for my independent elderly mother. Must be comfortable with our two small Maltese dogs, including walking them and preparing and feeding their meals according to instructions. Light food preparation also includes occasional morning green juice or smoothies. Cooking experience is not required.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to assist with occasional household errands or transportation to appointments are preferred, but not required. previous house keeping experience in private home and excellent verifiable references are required.
Must understand household instructions and communicate comfortably in English. Private-home experience and excellent, verifiable references are required. We value kindness, discretion, and attention to detail.
Ideally starting before the end of October to allow a handover with our current housekeeper. Please apply with your experience and availability.
