We are engaged by a growing mining company based in Fort Worth, Texas on a Senior Accountant role. We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support accurate, timely financial management as we continue to expand.

High Level Looking for:
- 3-5 years of experience in energy, oil and gas, mining or industrial space
- Accounting degree required
- CPA NOT required
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data in QuickBooks. This role includes managing month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting audits and operational analysis. The ideal candidate has relevant industry experience and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks, ensuring accurate and timely postings.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Generate financial statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets for management review.
- Track and analyze costs related to mining operations, including equipment, materials, and labor.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop or Online.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
