The Department of Parks and Recreation offers full-day camp programs for ages 6-14 throughout all of Prince William County to include indoor and outdoor adventures. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team. Camp programs are generally offered Monday- Friday from 9a-5p, however due to our extended care program, there may be times when flexibility is necessary. Please note: employee hours are based upon camp enrollments and cannot be guaranteed. Camp Counselor: This position is responsible for the daily supervision of campers, daily activity planning, safety, and group management. Camp Counselors must be able to work within a team setting to accomplish program goals. Successful Camp Counselors are upbeat, decisive, and responsible, while giving campers a fun and safe camp experience. Organizational and strong leadership skills are a plus! Minimum Requirements: High school diploma/G.E.D 18 years of age or older Must have 6 months experience working with children in structured settings/programs Available Locations: Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center - 13025 Chinn Park Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22192 Silver Lake Regional Park - OUTDOOR Camp - 16198 Silver Lake Road, Haymarket, VA 20169 Starting Pay: $16.66 ~~~ Inclusion Aide: This position works closely with children with disabilities who would like to participate in the programs we offer. The programs are offered to children ages 3-14 at various sites to include both indoor and outdoor environments. Hours can vary and are dependent upon program enrollment. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma / G.E.D. equivalent 18 years or older 6 months pf experience with adapting lessons for individuals with special needs Available Location: Countywide Starting Pay: $16.66 ~~~ Please note: the positions are open until filled with ongoing application review.
