The Procurement Category Specialist will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, execute competitive sourcing events, and identify opportunities to reduce costs while supporting business objectives across multiple locations.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for assigned MRO categories.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify cost savings and sourcing opportunities.
- Prepare, issue, and manage RFQs and RFPs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, commercial terms, and discount structures with suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting long-term procurement objectives.
- Analyze spending trends and develop category sourcing plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and business priorities.
- Track procurement performance metrics and report sourcing results.
- Support multiple sourcing projects while ensuring deadlines and business objectives are achieved.
- Comply with corporate procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least three years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies for MRO categories.
- Experience executing RFQs and RFPs.
- Strong contract negotiation and supplier relationship management experience.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract management, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop sourcing solutions that support business needs.
- Proficiency with Oracle Cloud, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, Glovia, or similar procurement and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and successfully complete complex projects.
