A company in Rancho Santa Margarita is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Controller who wants to manage day-to-day financial operations for a fast-growing manufacturing and distribution company. This role is essential to keeping their financial systems organized, accurate, and ready to support a rapidly scaling U.S. operation. This is a full time, temp to hire position with long term growth possibilities. The shift is 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday. The pay is $32 -$38 per hour based on experience.Key ResponsibilitiesEnter, update, and manage purchase orders (POs) with accurate coding and timely reconciliation.Maintain daily accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit-card reconciliations, and expense tracking.Process and pay vendor invoices, general bills, and reimbursements.Record and reconcile incoming payments from dealers, distributors, and direct online sales.Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including cash-flow summaries, AP/AR aging reports, expense breakdowns, and profitability snapshots.Oversee inventory-related accounting, including COGS entries, landed-cost updates, and coordination with warehouse staff for accurate stock valuation.Support payroll preparation by maintaining hours, deductions, reimbursements, and approved contractor payments.Coordinate with external CPAs, tax preparers, and auditors to ensure timely quarterly and annual filings.Maintain organized digital financial records, ensuring audit readiness and proper documentation for vendor accounts, compliance, and warranty-related items.Assist in implementing and improving accounting systems and workflows as the organization grows.QualificationsProven bookkeeping experience (manufacturing, distribution, or consumer-goods industry preferred).Solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.Strong communication and organizational skills.Manufacturing experience and knowledge of Inventory controls are a plus. Inventory Controls knowledge and the ability to work with outside CPA's for Coordinated Accounting is a plus.
