PrideStaff is seeking a detailed and reliable Inventory Control Specialist to join our distribution client in Woodridge, Illinois. In this role, you will be the bridge between our data and our physical stock. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through strict cycle counting, managing stock locations, and operating warehouse equipment (Reach Truck and Cherry Picker) to move and organize parts.This is a Temp-to-Hire position for a candidate who is organized, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a fast-paced automotive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management & Data Entry:Execute daily cycle counts to ensure physical inventory matches system records.Perform data entry for inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and location assignments.Generate and review inventory reports using MS Excel to support daily operations.Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies and troubleshooting order issues.Monitor stock levels for consumables and assist the Coordinator in identifying replenishment needs.Warehouse Operations:Operate Reach Trucks and Cherry Pickers to retrieve parts, store inventory in high racks, and organize the warehouse.Ensure the proper handling and storage of all items, including company stock and customer property.Physically move materials and assist with shipping/receiving logistics to ensure Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Communication:Communicate effectively with the Inventory Coordinator regarding order status and potential shortages.Collaborate with the cross-functional team to ensure parts are available for production when neededRequirementsEquipment Experience: Must have proven experience operating a Reach Truck and Cherry Picker.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs alone and stand/move for the duration of the shift.Education: High School Diploma or GED required.Experience: 1–3 years of inventory, planning, or warehousing experience (Automotive or Manufacturing background is a plus).Preferred Qualifications (Ideal Candidate)Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly preferred.Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, AS400, or similar systems.Ability to work overtime on short notice if business needs arise.Benefits:Health insurancePaid time offVision insuranceCompany DescriptionPrideStaff can offer you a wide-range of rewarding career options.
