We are seeking a dedicated Administrative/Accounting Assistant professional to join an evolving organization with a 150-year legacy of integrity and teamwork. This role is responsible for managing the flow of information among co-workers, tracking accounts, and handling collections to ensure quality service for our clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accuracy in a high-accountability environment.
Location: Sterling, VA
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm
Compensation: $22.00-$24.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and distribute information among co-workers while handling various administrative requests from management and staff.
- Identify delinquent accounts and review past-due collections with management on a regular basis.
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain organized filing systems for the department.
- Check for accuracy in financial reports, figures, and postings, and reconcile any discrepancies found in records.
- Maintain accurate training records and perform a variety of general clerical tasks.
- Adapt to evolving job duties as required by management to meet the needs of the position.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma required, with some college coursework preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Excel in a professional work environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and outside contacts.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Prior experience in accounting or accounts receivable is preferred
